Massive congratulations for your new album “Halo Of Blood”, in my opinion it is one of the best albums ever written by Childre Of Bodom, filled with brutal riffs, awesome guitar solos and very nice lyrics. Can you tell me about the changes between “Relentless Reckless Forever” and “Halo Of Blood”? Because I think they sound really different from each other.

It's hard to say because there's not so much difference! I mean, we did it like the same and it just came up like that.

There are some songs in the new album, like “Transference” and “Dead Man's Hand On Yu” where we can notice words like “Mother Kali” and “Final goodbye”, never seen before in the lyrics of your previous albums. What kind of meaning do these words have in your life?

There are a lot of songs written for people who passed away; Alexi have lost a couple of really good friends and he never wrote about this things before because they're very personal stuff and almost every song is about the loss of a friend.

What is your opinion about this album? I mean, you have tons of fans in the whole world, did you notice a positive feedback or a negative one from them?

Yeah, we've received a lot of positive feedback, more than with the previous albums.

What happened in Nashville on August 8th? That night Childre Of Bodom were supposed to play with Amon Amarth, Battlecross and Huntress, but you were forced to cancel that gig. Many websites wrote about a presumed hospitalization for Alexi caused by stomachache, is that true or not?

Yeah it's true. It was a stomachache and we went to the hospital. They said he had stones inside the stomach and they had to remove it. It was very painful for him and he stayed in the hospital for two days.

This year Children Of Bodom signed a recording deal with Nuclear Blast, the old label of the band. In your opinion, will this change turn out to be useful for the band? On the other hand, masterpieces like “Are you dead yet” and “Hate Crew Deathroll” were recorded with Spinefarm Records. Can you explain this choice?

Well, Nuclear Blast did a really good job for our first albums and we know the guys. When our last contract was over, we needed to find a new contract. We had got a lot of different contracts and then we just chose the best one, and it was really easy for us to go there.

Which is the best gig you've ever played?

Ever? I think Wacken Open Air! Wacken is always the best!

What do you expect from Children Of Bodom's fans tonight in Milan? They're out there waiting to see you play!

Milan is one of the best places to play for us. We have a lot of expectations because it's always fun to see very loud people in here.

Do you want to say something to all your Italian fans?

H: I wanna thanks all our Italian fans because they're one of the best crowd in the world and for all the support they gave in the last 15 years.
